Enternecidas

Could someone please tell me the meaning of "enternecidas", i cant seem to
find it in any of the dictionaries.

My guess is that it's from enternecer, to move, touch, and is the past participle used adjectivally, with a feminine plural ending.

So they (feminine) were moved, touched (emotionally)

It is so much easier if you give a word in context, you know. :)

Las dos abuelas quedaron enternecidas al ver a su nieta cantar.
Both grandmas were deeply touched/moved seeing their granddaugther singing.

Sometimes suffixes can puzzle us if we don't remember them. Deborah, try to remember -ado, -ido are past participles, so you can look for enternec-... (ar/er/ir, if you don't know the conjugation). :twocents:
