Entonces tienes un "examen final tipo test".

    Good luck!

Thanks, Bob. I still have a couple of weeks to study, but I'm sure that thet will fly.

By the way, is "test" an exam? I mean, we say "examen tipo test" when you have alternative answers (a, b, c).

    You're welcome!

I wouldn't translate 'leave us without' that way. I'd think of an entirely different way to say it because that sounds too much like an English phrase.

quedar (remain) - deseamos quedarnos un poco (we wish to stay a bit longer)
dejar (leave) - dejarnos sin recursos (leave us without recourse)
dejar (allow) - déjanos ir (let us go)

quedarse sin spam = to be out of spam

Gracias por quitarnos el spam. = Thanks for getting rid of the spam for us.

Bien, gracias - habi una tormenta pero solo más alto. Vivo en 1000 metros, y los daños son en terreno más alto que 1500 metros.

Una noticia de hace un par de días. Es de la sierra, que está un poco más alta, pero la semana pasada estaba hablando por teléfono con alguien de Madrid y me dijo que estaba empezando a nevar Está haciendo un invierno muy duro aquí, con mucho frío, nieve, lluvias y viento.

I also have a book similar to that - I don't have it with me right now, but it's nice because the stories are short and mostly in the present indicative tense. It's good confidence-building for me, too, because I can usually read them without looking up any vocabulary!! (Go me!!)
