Can we say :
Give them practice for the oral exam ?
prepare them for the oral exam?
and how do you say " les pondría ejercicios de nivel más alto, para que el examen les resulte más fácil.
I would use in class exercises higher than their level so that the exam is easy for them????

Aquí tambien se siente que el verano está pasando. Hay días grises, pero tambien
hay días de sol brillante y aire fresco (algo que no se encuentra tanto en el verano aquí) La cosecha es muy evidente en septiembre con las verduras locales a su mejor
calidad. Pasé cuatros días agradable en San Francisco y encontré con una amiga de mis dias de escuela.
Un día voy a poner unos fotos en mi album público de San Francisco (una cuidad preciosa), pero ahora la invito mirar a mi nuevo album
mostrandro un parque nuevo aquí en Nueva York constuido sobre un ferrecarril
elevado abandonado.

Como fue tu fin de semana, has disfrutádolo?Pasó demasiado rápido como siempre.. Ya somos al final(?) de verano.. Aunque hacia muy buen tiempo/ estuvo bastante soleado hoy , ya se nota que la temperatura se baja un poco cada día, y que se cortan (?) los días (que se obscura más temprano..)Además ya se vende las dulces típicas por 'Sinterklaas' (una fiesta que se celebra en diciembre!! ).. ¿viva el comercio, no..? Lo que quise decir: me sorprende cuantos veces (parece) nosotros pensamos en las mismas cosas.. Muy extraño, este fin de semana, cada vez que acabé de leer algo, y vi tu repuesta,dijiste prácticamente exactamente lo que pensé yo mismo también.. Fue divertido... Ahhh I see..! Well sure, if such a knockout (not knockup.. ) comes your way you've got to 'milk it' ... "The (Love)Letter" is another famous one by Vermeer as you no doubt know, it's captured in wax in the Wax statue museum Madam Tussauds here in Amsterdam. I once got a student job there for the summer holidays, and I knew all the text that you heard in those scenes by heart after a week or so.. still it was a fun enough student gig.. Think there' s a Tussaud' s in NY as well? I've seen two in GB/ London, because we got free entry and I visited a friend of mine in London at the time.. Anyway.. Mayde Milk be with you.. Laura

Hola David.. Que tal estas? Here all is fine, I suddenly got an active mood in terms of proper cleaning up (which is rare for me). Smells springlike here now all over the place.. anyway.. yes Costa Rica is really nice, very relaxing and great natureparks and fauna..the butterfly gardens (jardin de mariposa) are really nice also by the way!! San Francisco.. just be sure to wear a in your hair... Yes SF is one of the places I'd really like to see sometime in the US I think it's a relaxing place - maybe due to the 'hippie' image it has/had..? But surely there are some nice things to see there as well and the view on the sea is always a thing to make a place /town etc more special to me.. haha Cruises yuk..I'd be bored to tears (but then I am just in my thirties..) .. When I was in Panama with friends we were on an uninhabited island and some cruise lay offshore..that looked totally out of place in midst of such serenity... enjoy your trip!! Laura

Hola David..¿cómo estás? Apenas no puedo creer que ya estamos al fin de agosto.. No puede ser.. en unas semanas acabá el verano.. sniff.. Guess we need to enjoy it while it lasts right?? Summertime always seems to fly and winter seems to drag on forever.. Maybe I need to move to a tropical country and be done with it.. Wouldn't mind heading down to Costa Rica again this winter..(the sole matter of it costing a large heap of money might be a slight issue though..) A friend of mine is going there this Christmas.. I am jealous..It's so lovely out there.. eventhough there are also many other places I'd love to see in the Latin part of the world.. For now it still seems far away..but who knows I might be down there anyway around my birthday (in feb). You never know... (Hope springs eternal.. is there a good Spanish equivalent for it, as far as you know??) Laura

Well we've kind of had mixed fortunes this summer sofar.. July wasn't great but not a lot of rain either..just clouds..But August has been great for two weeks nothing but sun now.. Today a few drops of rain but sun is out again which is a good sign for tomorrow.. Yes the North Sea is very close to Amsterdam, and yes there are quite long stretches of beach.. it's not as pretty as in many of the southern regions of Europe obviously the sea is 'grey' (not chrystal blue..) and colder but it's great for beachwalks and reading a book..not sure if I am a 'beachperson' (kind of has a negative connotation) not like I would bake for hours..but I love being near the sea, listening to the waves and watching it.. Always such a soothing sound and great to clear your mind.. This is Zandvoort, also one at evening time.. looks quite romantic no? Laura
