As far as I know, there are no rules about feminine/masculine words ending with inversed "a"/"o", but many of them can be easily memorized.
Those like "problema", "teorema", "estigma", etc., all come from Greek words, so you can see some kind of pattern. Feminine words that end with "o" are much fewer... the only one I can think of now is "mano", so it will be easy to remember. ![]() La capital -> the main city El capital -> the money El billete/boleto de avión cuesta ... y el (no accent) de tren cuesta ... (Tú) date prisa -> (Usted) dése prisa Both ways to say the hour are equally used... it might depend on the region and sociolect. "Son las diez y quince" = "son las diez quince" = "son las diez con quince (minutos)" Edit: Luna Azul has beat me to reply, but one more answer won't harm.
