Me llamo Debbie,

Soy inglessa, pero vivo en Grecia, vivo aqui desde hace 23 anos. Quiero mucho aprender Espanol, creo que es un idioma muy importante conocer.

El problema para mi, es que aqui donde vivo ( vivo en una isla peqeno) no hay gente que hablan espanol, por eso no puedo practicar.

Espero que puedo conocer muchas personas en esto sitio.

Sorry for all the mistakes. As you can see l am very much a beginer, and this is the first time l have written something in spanish for all to see.

Hi Deborah,

Welcome to the forums. I hope you find lots of people to practice Spanish with. So you live in Greece? I guess after 23 years you must speak the language fluently. Is it hard? From looking at the Spanish you wrote, you're pretty good at Spanish too, in spite of not having anyone to practice with.

A mi me gustaría practicar el español también. Me parece que ya sabes mucho español y lo escribes bastante bien. Vivo en California y Hace catorce meses que estoy aprendiendo español con amigos en trabajo.
Aunque todiavía estoy aprendiendo espero que podamos ayudarnos.

Welcome to the forums!!! Your Spanish is quite good considering you've no one to practice it with. I hope to see more!

I hope you don't mind a couple of corrections. The majority are punctuation changes.

To help you write accents and the like, Tomísimo provides an 'Accents' pull-down menu. From there, you can select all the symbols you need. If you don't see the 'Accents' menu, click the 'Go Advanced' button (or double-click when you want to reply to a message to go directly to the advanced reply box).

I most listen to Thalía... Im a big fun of hers

I also listen to Paulina Rubio, Litzy and Lorena Rojas... and I'm still discovering other Latin artists

I've been learning Spanish (through this site, hearing to music and a pocket traveler dictionary) almost a year. Although I've been want to learn Spanish 3-4 years ago... its just that I just have more time to study it

Gracias por tu repuesta, y si, hablo griego. Griego es una lengua dificil, y tambien las letras son diferent. Pero ahora quiero mucho poder hablar espanol. Pienso que este forum puede ayudarme.

Estoy segura de que vas a aprender. Grecia, y una isla... qué bonito. Me has hecho acordarme de Mamma Mia! y Shirley Valentine (seguro que a Poli también).
Dicen que el griego es el idioma fonéticamente más parecido al español, y me acuerdo de una cantante griega que fue famosa aquí en España hace muchos años (Nana Mouskouri) que tenía una pronunciación impecable en español.
Mi canción favorita era Libertad, de la ópera Nabuco de Verdi.Está en You Tube si te apetece escucharla.
