Colours - Irregulars
Are these four all incorrect:
• La chica lleva una falda de color de rosa. • Las hermanas llevan dos faldas de color de rosa. • Miguel lleva un abrigo de color de rosa. • Mis primos llevan unos abrigos de color de rosa. If we omit the second ‘de’ in all four of the above sentences, then are they all correct? Example: Las hermanas llevan dos faldas de color rosa. Does the same apply to: naranja, violeta, vino, café, and turquesa?? Also, are the expressions below all grammatically correct: 1. la falda rosa 2. las faldas rosa 3. las faldas rosas 1. el abrigo rosa 2. los abrigos rosa 3. los abrigos rosas I’m not sure about the number 2 in each case, but I’m almost certain I’ve heard it used. Many thanks in advance. |

Color rosa = rosado
Color de rosas may make sense but it's kind of poetic and not used in usual speech. If you want to say pink in Spanish, it's best to use rosado or color rosa. |
Thank you so much AngelicaDeAlquezar and poli, much appreciated.
