What is your basis for saying that? In my experience, ahĂ* and allĂ* are fairly synonymous, while allá is further away.

In most cases they are very similar, but with slight differences in meaning.

allĂ*, ahĂ* = there (allĂ* & ahĂ* are basically the same, usage varies by region.)
allá = over there
aquĂ* = here...
