La boca abierta..

¡Hola a todos!

Ayer he escrito un email a un amigo español que vive en La Haya, aquí en Holanda. A veces le ayudo con holandés y él por su parte me ayuda con español.

No nos escribimos hace casi un mes y media porque andabamos un poco liados en este tiempo.

Pues lo que quise compartir con vosotros aquí es que me escribió:
' Me he quedado con la boca abierta cuando he leído tu email y he visto lo bien que hablas -o mejor dicho, escribes- en español. Has hecho unos progresos impresionantes'

Creo que es un cumplido muy grande y me siento un poco orgullosa por esto.. y quiero agradecir vosotros todos (all of you?) por toda la ayuda que me habéis dado en/durante estas semanas pasadas.

Seguro que por la gran parte es porque he leído mucho aquí, que he aprendido tanto en este tiempo. De hecho, cuando estoy escuchando música (textos), o viendo tele por ejemplo, me da impresión de que/ me impresiona mucho cuantas veces (how many times??) reconozco palabras o dichos que ya había leído y aprendido aquí.

Y me ayudan mucho todas las explicaciones también para que pueda entender la diferencia entre (el uso de ciertas) palabras, o cómo suena mejor algo en español para entender y aprender cómo se dice algo de manera 'española', es decir: para no sonar sólo 'traducido' de otros idiomas, pero cómo se utiliza la gente.

Lo siento por los errores que he cometido en este texto, pero quise hacerlo en español y decir 'muchas gracias' por toda la ayuda que me habéis dado, ¡¡¡ porque me aproveché muchisimo !!!

Good morning, your text is right, but even so it has some mistakes in the structure, therefore I want help you to understand them better, I know that perhaps it can result some hard for you when is by first time, but you believe me, if you pay attention to the mistakes, I believe hat you will be able to have a text at most perfect, I hope it.


The word Lidiados, I think that it's not bad really, but it's not likely used in my speech, then I modified the word and exchanged the word for another ones.


Really your text at most not needed a lot corrections, because it tend to be excellent writing in Spanish, really I want to give you a great felicitation for your great endeavor that you gave in the text, I know that it's not easy sometimes, but as you have said or your friend said, ( To watching the TV or inclusive to listing music help me a lot, therefor, I saw the endeavor gave during the elaboration of the text.

"Ayer he escrito" is well said for me, and "liado" too...

About "all of you", you can do as Crotalito marked you or using the words "todos" before the pronoun: "a todos vosotros"

@ookami: "soapbox" es literalmente una caja de jabón (de las de antes, de madera). La caricatura anglosajona de un merolico en la calle, lo pone de pie sobre una caja de ésas (a manera de escalón) para hacer sus discursos.

I agree with Ookami except for that "he escrito", I'd say "ayer escribí". And here is more common to say "liado" than "ocupado" (a bit more formal). I'd say "liada" to a friend and "ocupada" to my boss

Yes irma, I would not say "he escrito" in that situation, but equally, is well said no? I would use it when you don't want to especify the time. "He escrito..."

If you accept my opinion about your question correctly is well said that sentence but anyhow, you have to find the best phrase or sentence for each text, for example.

You can say.

Durante mi vida he escrito 4 libros.

Here in this sentence is correct the phrase and well just it has to takes the phrase, He escrito.

But in this another way, I don't believe correct the phrase He escrito, because simply there are more choices in the Spanish that I believe that you have a great gamma in the sense to write the sentence well.

Here my attempt.

Deberias de ver lo que he escrito ayer. I don't think so that this is the best way.

Instead of this sentence, in my sense common is more appropriate to say this.

Deberias de ver lo que escribi ayer. Here only I'm doing use of the past in Spanish.

Then you're right the word for itself isn't bad wrote, but if you find anothers ways to write the phrase, I believe that you'll sound more nature that if you only would be translating the phrase completing.

I hope have explained well this example.

I understand Crotalito, for you it sounds better that way, for me the two ways sounds well enough and it's ok either way. I don't think only of what's the most spoken way; I read more than what I talk and hear, so I'm more influenced by that.
In the second ocassion I would almost always use "he escrito", and it isn't because it's used here(escribí is more common); for me it's sounds nicer to the ear, but it would depend on the ocassion.

But in this situtation, as I said, your correction was well for me, I just wanted to mark that "he escrito" wasn't bad at all, just for her to know.

Yes, correctly you are free to chose the election that best be of your like, but well as you have said my opinion also is ok and well, I know that there're a lot ways to say the same in the moment and the writing, but well I believe that can tell you thanks for your sincere opinion.
