mensaje = message
hace quince años que no hablo = it makes 15 years that I have not spoken así que aprendí unas pocas palabras. = Like that/in this way I learned a few words... Pocas palabras= feminine noun and feminine modifier. Thank you very much. It may take some time to get my brain thinking in spanish.

Mensaje does mean message or post (in a forum) Hace quince años que no hablo español. Literally, this does mean it makes 15 years that I don't speak Spanish, but the true translation is: I haven't spoken Spanish in/for 15 years. Así que aprendí unas pocas palabras. The term así que when you use it to start a sentence, simply means so. This sentence means So I learned a few words. Palabras is a feminine noun, so the adjective few changes and must have the feminine ending to agree with it. That's why it's pocas and not poco, pocos, or poca. The word así all by its lonesome means that way or in that manner. For example, hazlo así = do it like that. Keep up the practice and you'll be thinking in Spanish in no time. I hope my explanations helped a bit.

Mi llamo Montechristo y este es mi primero carta aqui
Me llamo Montechristo y esta es mi pimer carta aquí en el foro, No puedo hablar español muy bein. No puedo hablar muy bién español, Y no tengo hablar español por quince años, mas o menos. (It this is not necessary. Hace 15 años que no hablo español y perdí la practica, Antes eso, trabajo con muchas immigrantes entonces yo aprendo pocos pallabres. ( You can replace it, the text by the other text below.) De igual manera, trabaje con muchas personas imigrantes, y de ellos aprendí algunas palabras en español. My name is Montechristo and this is my first post here. I cannot speak spanish very well. And I have not spoken spanish for 15 years, more or less. Before that, I worked with many immigrants so I learned a few words. As you can see my spanish is that of a two year old. I am studying and trying to improve. Obviously my verb conjugation needs much attention. Corrections are always welcomed. Pretty good effort. You remember, that, in Spanish, you can put the words of many ways, to you say it, the Spanish is easy, only you give her good ways to the texts. Regards. Estoy de acuerdo contigo, Crotalito. I agree with you, Crotalito.
Ya lo creo que MonteChristo les diría inmigrantes a los obreros que vinieron de otro país. Por otra parte, éstos también pueden ser emigrantes. Depende del punto de vista. Cuando un hombre se muda de su país se lo ven como emigrante aquellos que se quedaron en el país. Siempre lo será, hasta éste mismo así se refiere. Pero para nosotros en el nuevo país de éste siempre será inmigrante, porque vino de otro país. Of course I believe that MonteChristo would call the workers that came from another country immigrants. On the other hand, they could also be emigrants. It depends on your point of view. When a man moves from his country those that remain behind see him as an emigrant. He always will be, even he himself thinks that way. But to those of us in his new country he'll always be an immigrant, because he came from another country. So, I was probably thinking of the workers' points of view instead of MonteChristo's point of view when I wrote emigrant. Or, it was just a little too late for me to be awake. ![]() Another explanation from the Internet, for your reading pleasure: A Swedish woman decides to emigrate to America. To herself, and to the country of Sweden, the woman is an emigrant to America. To her new American neighbors, the woman is an immigrant from Sweden. Emigration is the actual act of relocation from another country. The person going from one place to another is in the process of emigrating. Our Swedish woman remains an emigrant to the people of her former country, and to herself. But to other Americans, she is an immigrant, because she has traveled from somewhere else. |

Well, team.
First, good morning. I think like above of the thread, my point of view about of the inmigration, some persons get out of their contry because, they doesn't got some opportunity of work in their country, the major part of the people, they cross the border this is the case of Mexican, the Mexicans cross the borders, because here in Mexican, the life in very poor, mainly the government in some times, they doesn't got opportunity of work to the people hand, then, they prefer get out from their coutry, some people arrived to U.S.A, other people arrived to Europe, the people emigrant is good for a lot of work, they be ever far of their family, because they need work, is situation is sad, a lot of children be alone with mother or granfathers, and they grew up without love, I think that all country and peole, we are same. Good, is my point of view, but, I believe that all the persons, has some other way of view about the thread of the Inmigration of other way different. I await your correction, thanks Last edited by CrOtALiTo; May 23, 2008 at 09:23 AM. |

People, I believe that this thread is a polemic, always, we thought the same about of the emigrant, but some if is true, is nobody cannot do nothing, albeit is sad the story of the emigrant people, I feel that some day,all we'll can to be free in all the places, meanwhile the governments, they doesn't do nothing, for change this situation, we continue so, but, this are good al leats, we can to talk some and the forums has as visiter as other forums. I await your corretions. |
