I've knew the Rosseta Stone, but never I have used that before, because at least here in my country that software isn't very known, but I know other way to learn Spanish in your country is through the internet, for example I commonly use this website livemocha.com, and there I can practice and I can send my essays for that other people can correcting me then.

I don't know if you are agree with me or not, but just you can try it.

Greetings.

Elaina will become famous soon enough
Welcome Von and wife!

I envy your warmth in Florida. I am terribly cold and seriously thinking of moving south although I don't think I would like the humidity.

The humidity can be very tough in the summer. However, I look at it this way. How much time of the year can you be outside doing things comfortably? Most places that are north enough to have a truly comfortable summer have very long and harsh winters.

So just taking some examples from the US:
Tampa - 9 months are fantastic. July, August, September are tough with the heat and humidity. However, it is rarely above 92F here with the ocean breeze. But, if you are here, you make sure to spend the summer indoors, at the beach, or at the pool. At least when it is hot, you can escape to some degree to a place with water. I wear a short-sleeve shirt here every day of the year and I truly love that. (sometimes I have to wear a coat though obviously)

St. Louis - Brutal summers. Temperatures are way higher than here with temps hitting the 100 mark. Usually lasts less time than our summer here, but still very hot. The winters can be very rough too in comparison. I feel like St. Louis has about 6-7 good months depending on the length of winter and summer.

Minneapolis - Great summers. Nice outside. But the winter.... good grief it's cold. 7 months are good but the winter is just unbearable to me. I'd take Florida summer easily over a Minnesota winter.

I grew up in Tennessee and we had cold winters, but not super cold. We had hot and humid summers too. Everyone back home says that Florida is too hot and I will call them during the summer and more than half of the time, they are hotter than we are here. And during the winter, obviously it is much, much nicer here.

Anyway, I say go for the move. It doesn't have to be Florida though. You could consider other places like Texas. It doesn't have the humidity we do, but does reach the 100F mark in the summer. Its winter is milder, but not as nice as Florida. Anyway, I don't regret moving south 1 bit.

I worked in Florida during the summer of 2004. It was pretty hot there, but I'm from south Mississippi so it wasn't much different. The people they brought in from Canada were melting hah.

Summer of 2004 was Hurricane madness year. That was the first year we moved down here and we got hit by 4 hurricanes. What a crazy year. Haven't had any hurricane issues since thankfully.

What part of Florida? Inland or coastal?
