Re: Medicaid and medicare

Hm. Well, both are health insurance. I think medicare is for elderly people, and medicaid is for impoverished people?

I'm not 100% sure, though, so don't take my word for it.

Re: Medicaid and medicare

In the United States, they are both publicly-funded health care programs. As far as I know, they are very similar, but Medicare is only for elderly people, and Medicaid is for poor people. I believe there are similar programs in Canada, Australia and maybe other countries. Maybe someone else has some more specific info?

EDIT: shruti, I had the reply open but then got sidetracked with something else while you posted. I believe your info is all correct

Re: Medicaid and medicare

Medicare is a Federal health care program which is available to the elderly or disable. Medicaid is State funded health care program which is also available for the erderly or disable but it may include pregnant ladies and their babys.

Re: Medicaid and medicare

I think "pals" sounds a little odd, "fellas" is okay--it's charming, and "partners" is alright, but some people might think you're a cowboy. I think "guys" would be the most normal word in this case.

Re: Medicaid and medicare

Medicaid and Medicare are both Federally funded programs, with Medicaid being overseen and administrated by the individual states for financially disadvantaged people. Medicare is run by a division of the Social Security Department for elderly people or people who are disabled but may not yet be of retirement age.
