Imperfect Tense of "Hacer"
Is the imperfect tense of "hacer" hacía..., or hiciera..., or are both forms acceptable? In a Spanish-English dictionary, under the "Imperfect Tense" entry in the glossary of grammatical terms, this sentence is used as an example: si hacía sol solíamos a pasear. But, in the verb table for "hacer" in the same dictionary, hiciera... is listed as the imperfect tense.

"Hacía" is the imperfect indicative and "hiciera" is the imperfect subjunctive. They are not interchangeable.
