Arena abierta
"El lince es un bello gato que se encuentra en el sur de la Península Ibérica,
principalmente en zonas aisladas. Su hábitat natural es los bosques y dunas de arena abierta". I'm looking for a translation of 'arena abierta'... not sure if 'open sand' fits the picture here. Many thanks in advance. |

'Open sand dunes' works just fine. It has the connotation of a wide expanse of sand.
