Word order with compound nouns
We can say:
un estadio de fútbol enorme / un enorme estadio de fútbol unas tiendas de ropa excelentes / unas excelentes tiendas de ropa But never: un estadio enorme de fútbol. Unas tiendas excelentes de ropa Is this correct? Many thanks. |

It's not like "never", but the adjective is interferring with the compound nouns.
"Estadio de futbol" is a noun by itself, if you insert an alien word, you break the idea, so the adjective must go outside.
