I had to wear a plaster cast for 3 weeks.
My leg (or whatever ) was in plaster for 3 weeks.
They had to put my (whatever ) in plaster for 3 weeks.

Yeah, so I'm quite behind on my posting here ... but I think that in English we call the Christmas logs "Yule Logs".......
