¿Pupusas son semillas?
Si es así, aquí en España las llamamos pipas. Aquí se comen muchas pipas (de girasol), normalmente saladas, en momentos de ocio (viendo la tele, tomando unas cañas, etc.), aunque también se encuentran pipas de calabaza.

@Ambarina: Las pupusas son un platillo regional centroamericano (creo). Están hechas de masa de maíz.
En México esas semillas se llaman "pepitas".

@laughingwithfee: los derivados de palabras con "z" se escriben con "c". La palabra correcta es "calabacita".

No. Bueno, para mí no. Las tortillas son mas grandes y mucho mas delgadas.

Las pupusas y las gorditas son mas gruesas y mas pequeñas a lo redondo.

@Ambarina: Elaina está en lo cierto. Aunque la masa es la misma que la de las tortillas, las gorditas y las pupusas son más gruesas y están rellenas.

Es comida salvadoreña. Hay un surcursal de restaurantes salvdoreños en New Jersey llamado La Pupusa Loca.
En unas islas caribeñas pupusa tiene un significado vulgar.

PD Si no estoy equivocado hay una comida llamada haurache en Mexico, y es muy parecida a las papusas.
