Reading the DW's post, a jigsaw is a "caladora", and that would be "una sierra de vaivén". Though thinking of the word "vaivén" (va y viene), a handsaw (serrucho) would be "de vaivén", since you must push and bring nearer the saw.

Yes, you're right . But I thought a handsaw had a clearer image
Isn't a circular saw a sierra de calar? Well, I don't understand about saw, as I said, but the DW says that it is use to cut curves. Does a circular saw cut curves?

Oh Dear Oh Dear. A circular saw is wheel with teeth which rotates very fast, and is very dangerous. And it's one very good feature is that it cuts only in an exact straight line.

Bandsaw (sierra de cinta). Chainsaw (motosierra).
