Agree with Elaina. Skunk is zorrillo in Central America.
Mapache is a raccoon. |

The skunks smell bad.
In the highway the animals most the skunk smell bad. That animal is more common in my state.

I agree.
Skunk = zorrillo = mofeta Mapache = raccoon. When someone has dark circles around the eyes, we say "tienes ojos de mapache".

Groundhog?
Does anyone remember how to say that?
Also, speaking of "m" words... there is a word used in Puerto Rico for "cold" instead of gripe or resfriado. Does anyone know/remember what it is? It's driving me nuts that I forgot it and I can't find it in any dictionary. thanks, marsopa |
