I say "judías", too. "Judías" can be "judías verdes", a vegetable with the pod, or "judías secas", what you know as "frijoles". There're some varieties (pintas, blancas, ...), in Valencia one variety is "garrafones", used to do the "paella valenciana", they're very big beans.

In Mexico a garrafa is smaller than a garrafón. The 19 liter/5 gallon bottles of water are garrafones and for example a 1 gallon jug of milk is a garrafa de leche or for example a 4 liter jug of oil would also be a garrafa.

"Peas" son guisantes. Las judías verdes son los frijoles con vaina cuando son más jóvenes. Se hacen hervidas y es una verdura. A mí es la verdura que más me gusta (bueno, las alcachofas también me encantan )

Impersonal "se" is always conjugated in third person singular.

Well, you changed my original sentence to "se usan" and put in parentheses that it could also be "se les usa". Why is one "usan" and the other "usa"? I thought that the impersonal "se" always went with a singular verb conjugation. ??
