to give for made no tiene significado en inglés. Creo que significa-
to take for granted pero no estoy seguro como se puede usar en un frase. Se puede decir, Dimos por hecho que siempre haría sol en el verano.

No entiendo muy bien lo que dijiste pero....

dar por hecho = take for granted or take it as a done deal

Remember what I told you before, you cannot make literal translations and expect them to make sense. So....

to give for made something is a bad literal translation as it doesn't make sense.
