Fue haber vivido?

Hola,

Oí esta frase en una canción,

Para limpiar el alma hay que llorar, en este cielo compartido,la lección fue haber vivido

Estoy completamente confundido. No estoy seguro de qué quiere decir la letra.

Por favor, ayúdenme.

To clean/cleanse the soul you have to cry, in (this) shared heaven the lesson was to have lived.

The song sometimes are very hard for you, because if you haven't enough experience in the Spanish, I believe you will get bad information, anyway you can go to some translator where you ca get help with a translation very closer.

Now I will translate the part song.

Cleaning the soul we need to cry in the share sky, it the choices was lived.

In order to help you, I leave you my attempt, although it's hards to translate some song of Spanish to English.

I hope that translation help you.

@ChilenoAleman: "Haber vivido" is working as a noun here. (Having lived life has been the lesson learnt.)
