Question Math question - Triangle

In Triangle ABC, the measure of angle A equals the measure of angle B plus 30 degrees. The measure of Angle C equals the measure angle B plus 60 degrees. Find the measure of each angle.

Of course, the interior angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees. I already know that.

measure of angle A = 60
measure of angle B = 30
measure of angle C = 90
would this be right? I double checked it and I believe it's right, because the angles add up to 180 and they fit the clues that were given. I want to make sure I didn't do anything wrong.

your answer is correct.

However, the way to solve it is to use a system of equations and solve for the variables.

A = measure of angle A
B = measure of angle B
C = measure of angle C

A = B + 30
C = B + 60
A + B + C = 180

Now substitute into the A + B + C equation so that there is only 1 variable which u can then solve for.

A + B + C = 180
<>

(B + 30) + B + (B + 60) = 180
<< combine like terms>>
3B + 90 = 180
<<subtract 90 from each side>>

3B = 90
<<divide each side by 3>>

B = 30

Now you know B = 30 degrees. To solve for A and C just input 30 for B back in the original equations.

A = B + 30
A = 30 + 30
A = 60

C = B + 60
C = 30 + 60
C = 90
