Un saludo de "bolillo"
Hello. My name is Mark and I live in North Carolina. I have been studying Spanish for two-and-a-half years, and I think I have a fairly good understanding of grammar and a good vocabulary, but I really need to work on my speaking. I like this site, it is very active and knowlegeable and I hope to become a helpful part of that. By the way the Tomisimo Spanish accent program for the computer works great for me! Thanks.

Bienvenido a los foros. I would say you speak well Spanish. What you have to do now is concentrate a bit more on pronunciation by reading paragraphs out loud in Spanish. |

Thanks guys! I am practicing with some audio, and I like the suggestion of reading more out loud. I will keep practicing with that and maybe get some feedback sometime from you. Great!

Hi, welcome.
Do you like football/soccer? There is a colombian coach of football that was called bolillo. Will you watch the World cup of football? Tomorrow begins!! Last edited by spacemaker; June 10, 2010 at 07:01 PM. |

Thanks for the welcomes. I am not a huge sports fan, but I am definately watching the World Cup today! I wonder why the coach was called bolillo? The first time I heard it used as a nickname it tickled me. Kind of like calling someone Wonder Bread in English!
