Hi all

I hope someone can help me with this.

On a Spanish jobsite they have the following options:

Jornada laboral:
Completa
Indiferente
Parcial - Mañana
Parcial - Tarde
Parcial - Noche
Parcial - Indiferente
Intensiva - Mañana
Intensiva - Tarde
Intensiva - Noche
Intensiva - Indiferente

Am I right in thinking "Completa" means full-time, and all the others mean part-time?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Jornada laboral: (Working day/Working hours):
Completa (Full-time)
Indiferente (Any)
Parcial - Mañana (Part-time - Morning)
Parcial - Tarde (Part-time - Afternoon)
Parcial - Noche (Part-time - Evening)
Parcial - Indiferente (Part-time - Any start time)
Intensiva - Mañana (Continuous Shift - Morning)
Intensiva - Tarde (Continuous Shift - Afternoon)
Intensiva - Noche (Continuous Shift - Evening)
Intensiva - Indiferente (Continuous Shift - Any start time)
A 'continuous shift' has no lunch break.

Thank you for the reply!

So a continuous shift is full-time?

Yes. These kinds of jobs are common in Spain, or so I've read.

Yes, "intensiva" is full-time. For instance three shifts: from 7:00 to 15:00, from 15:00 to 23:00, from 23:00 to 7:00. You have half an hour in the middle of the shift for a sandwich. :)

For jobs which aren't inherently shift-based it's not unusual for hora intensiva to be offered in summer. It may even be an obligation imposed by the convenio.
