"One's own hand" in manuscripts means that they are handwritten and original.

Thanks. :)Yes, it must be. This is of course tautologous, because that is what manu-script actually means. :rolleyes:
Edit: it might specifically mean written by the person themselves, and not written from dictation by a scribe.

I'm studying the meanings of "hand" and, in fact, I was interested in the quoted part of the sentence. ;) But you're right, manuscript means handwritten. :D

jajaja puño y letra era la cosa.... pero eso es lo que significa "One's own hand" cuando se refiere a la escritura.

Es que tenía dudas de si estaba bien escrito. El genitivo sajón siempre me crea dudas. :thinking: :)
