Yes, it must be. This is of course tautologous, because that is what manu-script actually means.

Edit: it might specifically mean written by the person themselves, and not written from dictation by a scribe.

jajaja puño y letra era la cosa.... pero eso es lo que significa "One's own hand" cuando se refiere a la escritura.
