What does this mean? Could it mean something that has a cult following?
Could it mean something that is very high minded?

Probably both. Depends on the context. I could mean, "in a highbrow/learned manner" Or "educated, cultured".

What context you have for it?

I agree, context is needed here. :)

That's what I thought. This is an ambiguous term. It was a somewhat naughty advertisement for to TV show "The Family Guy"
I thought it was a double entendre and now I am sure of it.

It doesn't mean anything. I can't even see it in a context. Perhaps "en un/el culto", when talking about some kind of religion. Apart from that, nothing comes to my mind.

It does.

It does.

I would be very grateful if you explained it to me.

Among many possibilities

en culto = preposition + noun

en culto = coll. "in educated language"

Nosocomio es hospital en culto.

en culto = adverbial phrase

en culto = in a sophisticated fashion / imitation of educated manners

- No le conocía tantas vueltas y caravanas.
- ¡No ves que ahora está en culto!

Gracias. Nosocomio es una palabra nueva para mí. Muy culto:thumbsup:. Ahora voy a ver si otra gente me entiende.

I know I've heard the expression "en culto" when people are talking about religious ceremonies. Mostly Pentecostal, Adventists, etc. etc. etc.

But I doubt that "Family Guy" vocabulary would be referring to anything religious.

¿No sería "de culto" (cult, as in cult movie)?

It could be interpreted as something hidden for the society.

Sincerely yours.

Yeah, you saw the ad.

But the rest of the people missed the ad... so we are a bit "at sea" (or "completely lost" i.e., "a dos velas"...)

Hablando en culto is more expressed when you are speaking with valor added in your conversation, I mean, when you are polite to speak something.

We're agree with this?

I guess so, yes.
If you mean, when you are talking about high cultural values in your conversation, and/or your enunciation is polished, your grammar impeccable, and your kindness and consideration towards your interlocutor is such that you make yourself clearly understood, with no effort by your listener or reader to actually duplicate utterly what the 773H you are talking about.

In that case, yes, that is "en culto"... more or less like I am trying to write now...

O sea, me siento comprendido.
