There are better ways to express the ideas, yes, but when you're learning you tend to use simple statements.

'Me gusta el café de mañana / a la mañana' can be substituted at the beginning, but I would go with 'Me gusta tomar café por la mañana'.

Instead of using 'entonces' as a translation of 'then' when the meaning is 'afterwards', 'después' or 'luego' should be used.

Me gusta tomar café por la manaña. Hago el café. Luego, voy fuera para beberlo/tomarlo. Si veo a mi vecina (yo) le digo, "¡Buenos días, Carmen, mi vecina!" Después de tomar café, tengo que ir a trabajar.
