A new age of enlightenment

Hello I am new to the forum, I am looking for the correct translation for the quote "A new age of enlightenment". This enlightenment is meant in a spiritual sense. I understand the word iluminacion means lighting as well as enlightenment, would it still be grammatically correct to use it? Thanks

It may help to know that 'The Age of Enlightenment' is simply called 'la Ilustración' in Spanish, but is sometimes expanded to 'la Era de Ilustración'.
This is probably not the 'spiritual enlightenment' you're looking to translate, though. Your suggestion might work, if we could have a look at the rest of your translation. ;)

With reference to the age I first mentioned above, I've seen a 'new age of enlightenment' translated as 'nueva ilustración', 'nueva era ilustrada' and 'nueva era de ilustración'.

Hi I wondered if this would work "una nueva era de la iluminación" Some translation sites have used this, I just didnt want it to read "a new age of lighting "!

Just to add it is a quote that is being used for a tattoo there is no other text, many thanks for your help

La edad or la era de la Iluminación would be fine.

I agree with Chileno, but the way you put it will also work (without "la")

"Una Nueva Era de Iluminación" (without "la", as otherwise it could be taken as "lighting") conveys the idea.

But if you want to be even more explicit,

"Una Nueva Era de Iluminación Espiritual" will be absolutely clear so as to what "iluminación" are you referring.
