Saying what I am going to do

Hi, me again. Have you missed me? ;-)

If I am asked "What are you going to do this evening"
can I answer:
Me voy a tomar una cerveza. (I am going to drink a beer)
And if so, can I say:
Me voy a tomar una cerveza o más (Like I am going to drink a beer but have the option of drinking more)
Or should I say:
My voy a tomar una cerveza, pero ahora no le sé cuantas cervezas me voy a tomar. (like the first sentence plus adding 'right now I don't know how many beers I am going to drink).

And saying if someone would like to join me is:
¿Vas a conmigo? (Will / Would you come with me?)

How do you say all this in Spanish or am I right?

"...una cerveza o más" makes an emphasis on the fact that you are very likely to drink more than one beer (probably many more). How your listener will take the statement will depend on the tone of the conversation and the context.

"...unas cervezas" may be a more common answer.


As for the invitation for someone to join you, remove the preposition "a" and your sentence is perfect. :)

By the way, except for one detail, this sentence is grammatically correct; a bit too long for normal speech though: :)

Me voy a tomar una cerveza, pero ahora no le (Check the usage of indirect object pronouns. This one is unnecessary) sé cuántas cervezas me voy a tomar.

Why would someone use "Me voy" in this case instead of "Voy"? Is it simply for emphasis or is it necessary?

It is a decent format, but longer sentences are kind of unusual. :)

People I know might say things like:
- Voy por una cerveza... o varias.
- Me voy a tomar una cerveza, o más.
- Voy por una cerveza, pero no sé cuántas más pueda tomarme.
- Voy a tomarme una cerveza, pero tal vez sean más.
.
.
.
