Like all of you here, I am learning more than a language. I am learning a new culture also. I hope to share what i can in return for what you have to share with me. Thanks to everyone in advance.
Como todos aqui, estoy aprendiendo más de un idioma. Estoy aprendiendo una nueva cultura también. Espero compartir lo que puedo a cambio de lo que tiene que compartir conmigo. Gracias a todos por adelantado.

You're very welcome. From the looks of your Spanish in post #1, you're not a beginner. ¿Cuánto tiempo llevas aprendiendo español?

Soy aprenderlo mucho de mi esposa :bad:
I learn a lot from my wife = Aprendo mucho de mi esposa.
I have learned a lot from my wife = He aprendido mucho de mi esposa.
thank you for the suggestions,, my intent is to say "i am learning a lot from my wife" as in 'i continue to learn' (suggest translation for this?)
you other suggestions i like, thank you
In actuality, i have been teaching myself to read and write spanish while learning to speak spanish from my wife and her family.:)
Gracias a todos
aslo, i now see the accent drop downs here thanks to reading a post about them, so, i will try to use that in the future!;)

The first thing David wrote, Aprendo mucho de mi esposa, is how you say I am learning a lot from my wife as well as I learn a lot from my wife.
Estoy aprendiendo mucho de mi esposa means that you are currently learning (right now, in the very act of), and isn't what you want to convey. Use the progressive tense (estar + present participle) only when you are actually in the process of doing something (and have been interrupted). For example: Estoy comiendo = I'm eating here (what do you want?).

Podríamos tener un hilo para hablar de las diferentes traducciones del verbo ganar en inglés. En este caso no puedes usar to win sino que tienes que usar to beat. "Rusty beat me". :( Lo siento mucho, pero así es.

Then, the sentence should to be so, I wanted to help you, but Rusty beat me first.
Thanks David.
