I heard coger fuego. Is this a anglicism or just a common way of saying to catch on fire?

It sounds like it's from Spain.
We colloquially use "agarró fuego" (exactly the same) when something burns "by contagion" so to speak. Think of the proverbial drapes that an air stream move close to a burning candle.
