Esta manera de estudiar se debe, según parece, a que el profesor le da al estudiante casi todo digerido y esto es casi exclusivamente lo que uno tiene que saber para los exámenes.

Hi Sam, Welcome to the forums!
What parts of the text you posted don't you understand?
One of the words is misspelled, but the blame lies in the source. The word 'digerido' should be 'dirigido'. Does that help you any? (There are other mistakes in the letter you're citing, by the way.)

Dar digerido is correct in that text and context, it figuratively means to provide conclusions without fostering the students to come to such conclusions reasoning by their own.

Ah, thanks.
Gives it as if it's already been digested.

Thanks for the help guys.
Can I tell you my interpretation of the sentence:
"This way of studying is due to, apparently, a professor that gave to the class almost all digested, and this is almost all you have to know for the exams."
Obviously this sentence above doesn't make sense so if you could point out where I went wrong that would be a huge help. Specifically I have the following questions:
1. Is segun parece = apparently?
2. I'm not sure what 'digerido' is meaning in this context
Basically I'm not sure what is being said from 'a professor' through to 'digerido'.
THanks for your help,
Cheers

"Apparently" may work in this context, but you can also use the verb "to seem".
"Digerido" in this context means that "knowledge" is provided straight away to the students without letting them make any efforts to actually process information by themselves. For example, they're giving them an explanation before they can even ask why something is that way, so they learn things without reasoning.
