Could you help me undeestand these sentences and how best to translate them:
-Bueno mantenemos el contacto. Ya es una esperanza. A ver qué decidimos cuando nos veamos.

The context: This is part of an email conversation about whether or not to go ahead with a contract agreement, which will be decided in December. They have been talking about it since August and after brining up whether or not it was worth continuing to negotiate and talk about it as December was suggested as being too far off, this was how the one party ended the conversation.

Many thanks

Good, let's stay in contact, and we'll make a decision the next time we see each other. The ya es esperanza part puts a positive edge on it meaning now there's hope.

So would you say the "mantenemos el contacto" is "let's keep in touch". I am wondering now whether it means "we are keeping in touch, which gives us hope."

"Ok let's keep in touch. Now it seems hopeful. Let's see what we decide next time we see eachother."

"Let's keep in touch, that's hope already." -> It's not as much as I'd want, but it's something at least.
