One problem I run into is phrases in English that may not mean the same thing in Spanish. Take the first sentence in this paragraph for example - "One problem I run into is."
If I translated this word for word into Spanish, would it mean anything or make sense? I don't know if that phrase means anything in Spanish.

As you know, when you 'run into something', you are not physically hitting something. What you're dealing with is an idiomatic expression. You can try to find how to say the idiomatic expression in Spanish, but it may turn out easier to just rephrase the idea into terms you already know (like, 'one problem I have is' = 'un problema que tengo es que').
