oso - masculine noun (el) - bear. Look up oso in the dictionary (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/oso)

Hay osos blancos, cafés y negros, ¿cuál de los tres crece más grande?
There are white, brown and black bears. Which of the three grow bigger?

Just so you all know, this thread is for discussing the daily word (and related words and expressions). It is not for "answering" a question in the sample sentence, if there is a question. :) The sample sentence is only for illustrating the daily word.

So talk about the word oso and any related words or expressions.

-----

Para que sepan, este hilo es para dialogar sobre la palabra del día (y palabras y expresiones relacionadas). No es para "responder" a una pregunta en la frase de ejemplo, si contiene una pregunta. :) La frase de ejemplo sólo es para ilustrar el uso de la palabra del día.

Así que hablen de la palabra oso y otras palabras y expresiones relacionadas.

Yep.

Hice un oso en la calle cuando me caí.
I embarrassed myself when I fell down in the street.

Interesting......I had never heard the word "oso" used like that. In what part of the world is it used to mean embarrassing? Does anyone know?

:thinking::confused:
