I don't beleive in trolls bringing good or bad luck...but I do beleive that your son is in God's hands and that he is looking out for your family.

Crotalito,

Unfortunately, what your wife believes in is not the troll itself. Just like the voodoo doll, it in itself has no power but if you believe in those things, a voodoo doll just like the troll can be very powerful. She obviously bought the troll doll from a "curandera" who, according to you also told her to say some prayer and use the doll (probably) to remove whatever illness your son has.

The peoples from Cuba, Puerto Rico and Mexico (I'm sure other Latin American countries also) believe in Brujeria, Santerismo, Voodoo, etc. These dolls (supposedly) are filled with or made of herbs and weeds and plants that can draw the evil spirit from anything.

Diabetes is a very real illness and it is unfortunate that your son has it. The good thing is that medicine has come a long way and your son, with the proper medical treatment can live a long and productive life.

Be patient with your wife. It is very hard for her to accept your son's illness and she is grasping on to whatever she can find to help her son. She needs your support, love and understanding.

Your son also needs both of you and needs good medical care. A little help from above wouldn't hurt either.

Take care!

Yes, Elaina, I know, and I don't agree with her, in that she has bought the doll, because I don't believe it, I don't faith in the Brujeria, less I believe that in a doll will cure to my son, I'm person very realist in my mind, and, I know the unit way of treat to my son is with his insulin not with dolls, I told her the same that I'm telling you, my son is ills, I know but, he is a kid very health now, he is very but very controlled in his diabetes, nowadays he has insulin, and we daily inject us insulin to him, really the insulin gives result very wonderful with his glucose, then on my country there are a lot of places where you can go with a sorcerer and they say to can cure you, and it's lie, but thanks for you comment above, I'm find a equipment named Glucowasth, it's a kind of watch that weigh up in all moment the glucose of my kid, I believe at Mexico there's not thus equipment, I hear that on your country there is the equipment, Do you have heard above this equipment in your hospital?, If you have heard above this please let me know, How I can get one watch.? and also if you can tell me the real cost of the device.

PH

Crotalito:

The GlucoWatch is not being manufactured anymore. I don't know if there were problems with it and "they" (manufacturers) decided they had to remove it from the market. Maybe a new one is being made but not yet. I will keep my ears and eyes open in case a new one is developed.
