One of the best times I've ever had was during a week in Corpus Christi.
Uno de los momentos mejores que he tenido fue durante un semana en Corpus Christi.
I stayed with my best friend in a room right on the beach and we swam all day and walked around the pier every night.
Me quedé con mi mejor amiga en un cuarto en la playa y hemos nadado todo el día y caminamos en el embarcadero cada noche.

Yes, I love the beach and the sea too, I live on a island, really, I know that alots people will wish is living near of the beach, my dream is have a boat and navigate for a longs months..
I hope someday buy a great boat and navigate at the sea.

I like to go to the beach .:)
we go to the beach every month. I like to touch the softly sand.:pelota: I walk along to the beach.
I drink soda and eat seafood. see the sea and sun:cool: in front of me. -I love it:);)

I you meet Merida or Progreso, you will can find alots variate of womens and beach very beautiful and well, it's irresistible touch.

Estuve con mi mejor amiga en un cuarto con vistas a la playa. Por el día nadabamos en la playa, por la noche paseábamos por el embarcadero.

Another option for "room right on the beach" could be "cuarto junto a la playa".

crotalito and leeying, you're lucky to live in such a pretty place. we have beaches in Texas but I imagine they are nothing like the ones in Mexico.

I really don`t know. but our beaches are beatiful perhaps exept any beaches , but turist come to mexico to visit our beaches. places:
cancun, conzumel. acapulco, puerto vallarta, puerto de veracruz, so on. I reccomend you visit them. they are very nice. * _ * ^_ ^

Yes, I live near of the beach and my state is near of Campeche and Merida, you can see on Merida much kind culture also at Campeche, two weeks ago, I had Merida on, I visited the Cenotes from Valladolid, really they are very beautiful and wonderful, in these times I was wondering above the Maya Cultura, because also I went to visit to Chichen Itza, you know, that place is a world marvel, then I met much places, towns, and as I said before, I met Cenotes, I was swimming inside of the Cenotes, very profound them, and well, I hope you someday have time of visit my country that in really is very beautiful, only suffice with that you arrive to Merida, you will have an idea of the beautiful from the place.

ok here's some more...please correct me where I'm wrong. I'm confused about when to use the preterite tense and when to use imperfect..
On the fourth of July, we played sand volleyball with some people visting from Mexico.
En el cuatro de julio, jugábamos el volíbol en la arena con algunas personas visitante de Mexico.
We couldn't really understand everything the guys were saying, but we laughed and had a great time anyway.
No podíamos entender todo lo que muchachos estaba diciendo, pero reíamos y tuvimos un gran tiempo.

It was my attempt, I hope, I'm in the accurate, but you need continue improvising your Spanish, you are good, but you need more knowledge at Spanish.

Espero que podamos volver pronto. Verb of volition requires the subjunctive.
fireworks = fuegos artificiales -or- cohetes
rockets = cohetes
Los fuegos artificiales/cohetes de aquella noche eran tan bellos.
¡Qué dicha tumbarnos/echarnos en la arena para verlos/mirarlos!
This statement captures the idea that it was a joy (got to lie down). The reason I opted for this statement is because it isn't very natural to translate it word for word into Spanish. Of course, there are other ways to translate the sentence.
