Because of my uncle, he [Diego] was able to stay out of prison. I realize this could be rephrased in English to something simpler like: "He's not in prison because of my uncle.", "Por mi tio no está en el carcel." But I wanted to see how best to write the first idea in Spanish: "Debido a mi tio, fuera del carcel él pudo quedarse."
