Are either of the following a correct way to say:
I hope your son took you out to eat for your birthday yesterday.
Espero que/Ojalá que tu hijo te haya llevado a comer por tu cumpleaños ayer.
Espero que/Ojalá que tu hijo te llevara a comer por tu cumpleaños ayer.
If both are correct, is "te haya llevado" or "te llevara" preferred?
If neither is correct, should I have used the preterite?
Any input with an explanation and/or grammar rule is appreciated.
