The word indemnity makes me think of the Godfather, especially coming from someone in NYC. :)

I think of "Double Indemnity" a melodrama in which a life-insurace payout
doubles if the death occurs on a train. I bet you could imagine that an
accidental death occurrs on a train as a result;). Another great movie.

That film (by Billy Wilder) it's said i'ts the first "film-noir"
IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0036775/)
I love the dialogues there :D
Phyllis: I was just fixing some ice tea; would you like a glass?
Walter Neff: Yeah, unless you got a bottle of beer that's not working.
--------------
Phyllis: I'm a native Californian. Born right here in Los Angeles.
Walter Neff: They say all native Californians come from Iowa.

That film (by Billy Wilder) it's said i'ts the first "film-noir"(Some say it's the Maltese Falcan. They were written within a year of each otherIMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0036775/)

Phyllis: I was just fixing some ice tea; would you like a glass?
Walter Neff: Yeah, unless you got a bottle of beer that's not working.
--------------
Phyllis: I'm a native Californian. Born right here in Los Angeles. She says this with a strong Brooklyn accent. (she substitied r for w--Califawnian) It's hilarious.
Walter Neff: They say all native Californians come from Iowa--In her case it was definitely Brooklyn. Walter was really innocent and stupid.
------------------
The script was written by immigrants whose native language was German.
That's admirable!
