Does this mean tp draw conclusions? If not, what does it mean:thinking:? Also, if not, how would you say draw conclusions besides the obvious deducir?

Aternerse a fórmulas: I would say it was something like...to keep/stay within a framework, to stick to the rules.
Could you give us the whole sentence or some kind inkling as to what the paragraph said?

I agree with Ambarina: the expression should be "atenerse a fórmulas" and it means to do something by-the-book. One does not make decisions or do something without straight rules, never considering exceptions or unexpected situations.

"stick to the rules", etc., is good.
"to draw conclusions" = "llegar a la conclusion"
