En España se hacen novillos o pellas, cuando se aunsenta uno de clase sin motivo alguno. IN BE you say play truant, but in the USA, nobody understands the expression, how do you say it in AMerica ?

We use the word se fueron de Pinta.

Son de sudamérica. Este cabybara (por lo menos creo que es capybara) vi
caminando libre en el zoológico de Buenos Aires.

De forma coloquial en BE también se dice: do a bunk o bunking off school

The only one I can think that you missed out is:

Play truant (BrE)

Very commonly in the USA: cut class (often done by teenagers who may show up for some classes but cut a class or two).
