A person who cannot stop thinking about themselves, and constantly reminds all others around them of their good and bad qualities.
- Self-important?

In Mexico, to say someone is stuck up, they usually say that person's a "fresa," (atleast in the Yucatán). En cuanto a "self-absorbed," they would say "engreído." I might be confusing the terms a little bit, to me they are pretty much synonymous.

Here's another thread that might be of interest: Snob (http://forums.tomisimo.org/showthread.php?t=1360). Great list of synonyms Malila!

@David: some of my favourite words are there. :D
Btw., Mexican slang can add, as it's been said, "fresa", but also "payaso" (yes, like a clown). ;)
