Tres es multitud.
To translate gooseberry or fifth wheel in Spanish we use carabina or velón

Well, I have, it´s " hacer de carabina " in The USA they say CHAPERONE like in Italian. I was looking for " · 3 es multitud.

The ones we use here are "3 son multitud" and "hacer mal tercio".

Y como se usa "fith wheel"
Hay sólo cuatro llantas en un coche, decir "I´m the fifth wheel" significa "I´m feeling left out / Don´t belong" es muy parecido a la tercera persona en el dicho "three is a crowd"
