Mexican saying is much more general: "Todo lo malo se pega" (all bad habits are contagious) :)

We say "todo se pega, menos la hermosura". That means that everybody can transmit something to you: good and bad habits, knowledge, ideals, thoughts, ... Everything but beauty. :)
