Huy! :D Entonces marido significa sólo husband, y "wife" significa esposa:). Me había enseñado "esposo/esposa" y "marido/marida" :bad::impatient:

The names for married couples are usually: "Marido y mujer", "esposo y esposa".

Yo también, pero mujer no es mejor, porque también significa woman.

He hasn't found out about the wife=esposa=handcuffs connection yet.

What I meant in the earlier post, is why, if marido = husband, doesn't marida= wife?

To me, logically, it should.

La vaca= the female cow
El toro= the male cow (the bull)

Pero si dice "logicamente" el nombre para "wife" debe ser "marida", pues estás equivocada porque el idioma no procede de lógico. ;)

Sin embargo, tanto en español es muy lógico, a diferencia de Inglés.;)
