To dash = to go without having time to stop
To dash out
To shoot out
e.g.
I can't stop now, I have to dash out.
When the police arrived, he dashed out of the back door.

Hay un montón de maneras de decirlo.
He blew past like a hurricane.
He was running like the wind.
etc.
He was in a bit of a hurry.

In North American English one hears something like: "Can't stop just now,
got to give you 'the high hat'."
Picture a guy briefly raising his hat as he dashes past.
