Los boletos fueron/eran vendidos en mercados.

EDIT: I forgot to to write "eran"

My proposal: Los boletos se vendieron en los mercados.
Passive voice literally translated into Spanish makes sentences sound artificial, when not awkward. :)

In Spain I'd say, "Las entradas se vendían en las tiendas" or "Las entradas se vendieron en las tiendas".

Depending on what "markets" is referring to in English. If it refers to "stores", "tiendas" is what I would use. :)

All of those options are correct translations.

It depends on the type of ticket. Do you mean like train or airplane tickets? If you do then it's a boleto or a billete, if not, then it's an entrada.

Yup, being "billete" the preferred word in Spain over "boleto". :)

In my attempt.
Los boletos fueron vendidos en el super Mercado.

Greetings.
