touch (or hit or strike) a nerve (or a raw nerve) provoke a reaction by referring to a sensitive topic: there are signs that some comments strike a raw nerve.
What would be the best translation in Spanish? (I have seen in another forum, "hallar eco" but this seems to be more of a positive connotation... as in "strike a chord"...)
Any ideas?
